By now, you’ve probably seen our “Use it or Lose it” campaigns in regards to your dental benefits. What many people don’t realize is that health insurance benefits expire on December 31st for most healthcare plans. Basically, if you haven’t used your coverage by the end of the year, it’s gone for good. The clock is ticking, so if you haven’t used your benefits yet, it’s time to make an appointment!
That being said, we understand that insurance, care credit, and wellness plans can all be a tad confusing. Here is our simple guide to payment and coverage options for your dental treatment:
Care Credit
One of the financing options that we accept is CareCredit. This is essentially a credit card that covers your health and wellness needs. You can use it to cover a variety of different healthcare treatments and then you make monthly payments to cover the balance. CareCredit is versatile and has over 200,000 providers in the U.S. It can also be used for treatments other than just dental care including vision care, cosmetic procedures, dermatology, and hearing care.
If you have CareCredit or are considering using this option to finance your healthcare needs, look no further! We accept CareCredit and are happy to work with you to figure out a payment plan.
In-Network vs Out of Network
Our practice is not in network with any insurance, but we work with almost all insurance providers. What does this mean for you? If you have Delta Dental or Superior Dental, your payment is due in full at the time of your treatment. We will then send a claim to your insurance company, and they will reimburse you. For other insurance companies, we charge you only what we estimate your insurance will not cover.
The insurance companies we work with the most are MetLife, Cigna, Anthem, United Healthcare, and Delta, among many others. If you have specific questions about your insurance, please do not hesitate to give us a call.
Introducing Our Wellness Plan!
We are dedicated to making your dental care as easy and affordable as possible. To help with this, we’ve designed our wellness plan. The wellness plan makes your care manageable and affordable, especially for patients who do not have dental insurance or who have an insurance plan that reimburses you directly.
With our wellness plan, there are no minimums or maximums, no denials for pre-existing conditions, no deductibles, and no treatment limitations. The wellness plan covers preventative and hygiene services with an affordable annual fee, and wellness plan enrollees also get a 12% discount off of any additional treatment services. This plan can be used for you as an individual, or your entire family. You can learn more about specific pricing and benefits here.
Regardless of your insurance situation, it is important to stay on top of your dental health and to come see us regularly. If you have any questions about your coverage or want to know more about any of the above-mentioned payment options, give us a call today. Together, we will find the best way to fit dental care into your budget and keep your smile healthy and happy.
